Acceptable Content/Use Policy
This
policy is updated from time to time and is available online in the
client information area. Planner.net reserves the right to take what
ever action it deems necessary against any member who disregards this
policy.
1. On-Topic Content
- All member content should pertain to the meeting/event/hospitality industry. Off-topic content may be removed at our discretion.
2. Unacceptable Content
The
following content is a nonexclusive list of what is unacceptable on
the Planner.net website:
Content that contains or contains links to nudity, pornography, adult content, sex, extreme violence, or foul language.
Content that condones, promotes, contains, or links to warez, cracks, hacks, their associated utilities, or other piracy-related information, whether for educational purposes or not.
Content that has been promoted through the sending of unsolicited email (spamming) or mail fraud schemes, or pages that promote or condone the sending of unsolicited email. Users who utilize Digital Business Media resources, including e-mail addresses, for spam are also subject to prosecution to the fullest extent of the law.
Content that commits acts of copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret or other intellectual property infringement.
Content that is racist, or otherwise extremely offensive to others, including content which aggravates, harasses, threatens, defames, or abuses others.
Sites that exploit images of children under 18 years of age.
Content that contains, links to, or participates in pyramid schemes, gambling, raffles, lotteries, and so forth.
Content that posts or discloses personal identification information or private information of individuals under the age of 18 or in connection with materials directed toward individuals under the age of 18 without verifiable parental consent.
Content that provides, sells, or offers to sell the following: controlled substances, illegal drugs and drug contraband, alcohol, weapons, pirated materials, pornography or sexual products, programs to attack others, illegal goods, escort services, instructions on making, assembling, or obtaining illegal goods or weapons, information used to break copyright or trademark violations, to destroy others' property, or to harm any people or animals.
Content that takes part in, or allows any third party to take part in, the following: reverse engineering, reverse compiling or otherwise deriving the underlying source code or structure or sequence of the Technology; individual passwording of customer sites or pages; altering copyright notices and attributes (unless permitted in writing by the author/owner); and such practices.
It is not acceptable to use in a manner that intentionally or negligently disrupts normal network use and service. Such disruption would include the intentional or negligent propagation of computer viruses, the violation of personal privacy, and the unauthorized access to protected and private network resources.
No member may transmit or link to data that we may consider illegal or immoral. This includes:
Anything that might be considered pornographic, obscene or of adult content (and this includes banners too), be it text, photos, cartoons, renderings, etc.
Information that is damaging to an individual, group or organization. This includes information promoting racism or hate crimes.
MP3s or other formats containing music that has not been authorized for public distribution.
Any other data not mentioned above but considered illegal and/or unacceptable.
3. Violation of guidelines
- Planner.net may terminate user accounts at any time, without notice, for conduct that violates these guidelines or for any other reason. Content found violating these items may be subject to immediate deletion and removal from our servers
