Its partnership with management in tatters, the San Francisco hotel workers' union is pressing brides not to tie knots of their own at hotels involved in a labor dispute.
The union, Unite Here, said it is
contacting wedding planners, families -- and even brides themselves --
urging them to move their weddings and receptions away from the 14
large hotels it is boycotting. It is also wants wedding parties to book
their overnight accommodations elsewhere, even when the nuptials are
held off site.
