How to Add and Manage Venue listings in our Database

How to add a Venue

Getting your site listed on Planner.net couldn't be simpler. There are no fees involved and your information will appear in our database immediately. Just follow these steps:

Prerequisites.
Know your venue category and information:Street Address, Contact name, etc... A web link to your site or link to the conference center landing page. If you are a Hotel, you can also provide detailed information about your business center and conference support services.

Step 1.
Make sure you are logged in, If you do not already have an account, join here.

Step 2.
Go to the Manage Venues link in the navigation bar and select the Create New Venue entry.

Step 3.
Fill out the information in this form (detailed information about your facility).
Suggestion:Include the names of your meeting rooms, their capacity and list prices; also include a link to the room layout image/PDF. Planners find this data extremely valuable!

The Venue Description field allows you to enter customized information about your facility. You can copy and paste formatted information from another browser window into the Venue Description field, but note that any graphics must point back to a live web server as we don't support in-line images at this time.
Note: Click on the small HTML check-box if you are pasting raw HTML code.

The Venue Description field has powerful editing features, however if you want to create a custom HTML layout, we recommend you use a tool like Frontpage, Dreamweaver or NVU, a free (open-source) web authoring tool.

Step 4.
Once you click Submit, your entry will be validated and automatically added to your database.

How to manage your Venues

You can easily manage a large number of venues. This is useful for Hotel chain marketing departments, or CVB managers.

Step 1.
Make sure you are logged in; click on Manage Venues.

Step 2.
You will see your list of venues, presented in alphabetical order. Click on Edit to edit that particular Venue, or Delete to remove it. (We hope you don't!)

Step 3.
Make any modifications to your venue listing and click Update. To Cancel, either click back or just select another link on the site. There is no confirmation or undo feature in this workflow because changes are so easy to make.

Step 4.

Once you click Update, your Venue information changes will be validated and will immediately appear in our database.
